I'll take the Q70 Laguardia Link bus which connects LGA directly to the Jackson Heights Roosevelt Avenue station where I transfer to the R train, but you can also transfer to the E, M, F, or 7 trains at the same station. As the beginning of the summer was very warm where i live we decided to go in the north of France where the temperature never exceed 25°c ! Normandy is the perfect destination when it's 35-40°c in Southern France. Although the weather is appreciable the traffic at the local airports is very low with only a few bizzjets per week (+ general aviation)... here is a first video showing Le Havre airport LFOH (near Etretat's cliffs) and Cherbourg airport LFRC (near the English isles of Jersey, etc). © DoubleH63 - Normandy airport 07/2015
On the 8th June 1996 the last Vickers Viscount passenger flight by British World Airways (last operators of this aircraft type) to Jersey took place. This last flight was an 'enthusiast's charter' organised by the Friends of Viscount Stephen Piercey in conjunction with British World Airlines and flew to Jersey from Southend. The Viscount had been a part of the commercial aviation scene in Jersey for over 40 years, travelling between the island and the mainland with holiday makers. Over the years the island has been served by Viscounts from various airlines including British European Airways, British Midland Airways, British United Airways and British Air Ferries / British World Airlines. It was not an uncommon sight to see up to ten Viscounts together on the ramp at Jersey. The aircra...
